The HastyHacker (haha)

Keyboard Layout Designed for Expedience

All computer users should know how to code. Hacking is not simply in code though, it is in prose as well. This is still in ALPHA so use at your own risk, as something I hastily hacked up and provided here free of charge and without warranty.

Interesting features include ease in physical placement of keys for both Emacs and Vim. On the left side of the right hand homerow are KHL&J in fine formation for Vim. On the right side of the right hand homerow are NPB&F in perfect order for Emacs.

The use of only vowels, numbers, and symbols for the left hand allows for speedier typing in English. The least used consonants in English of VXZ&Q are relegated to the third row on the right hand. The rest of the consonants of the right hand are coordinated to lower the chance of one finger having two key strokes in sequence.

This may or may not be the first keyboard layout designed by a workplace psychologist.
